Bill Tierney, University Professor Emeritus at the USC Rossier School of Education, will speak about the roots of academic freedom in the 20th century, discuss its strengths and weaknesses, and put forward a path on how to resist the current administration’s efforts to destroy higher education in the United States.
In conversation with USC Rossier professor Julie R. Posselt, Tierney will offer his views about both how the current state of higher education came to be, and discuss possible solutions to ensure academic freedom both now and for future generations.
