Ralitsa Todorova’s research has focused on access to higher education for first-generation and underserved youth. Her dissertation work examined the college admissions essay and how students and institutions frame and respond to the essay task. She earned her PhD in Developmental Psychology at the CUNY Graduate Center and her BA from Clark University. Ralitsa previously taught as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Lehman College, CUNY.
