Pullias Center's longtime administrative assistant Diane Flores, who is retiring in January 2026 after 23 years of service to the Center, was recently honored with a USC Rossier Staff Recognition Award.
Flores, seen here with USC Rossier Dean Pedro A. Noguera, was nominated for the prestigious award by numerous Pullias Center and Rossier colleagues, who noted that “Diane epitomizes encouraging a culture of support. She is kind-hearted, reliable, diligent and fair. For so many years, Diane has been the person who Pullias Center faculty, staff and guests rely on to guide them for matters large and small…I am confident that two decades of Pullias and Rossier colleagues agree that she is most worthy of this award.”
Other colleagues noted that “During the past 23 years, Diane has been a valuable member of the community by assisting faculty, staff, student worker and Ph.D. students in many different ways. Diane is willing to do so many ‘behind the scenes’ tasks that make it possible for her colleagues to achieve high levels of teaching and research. In addition, she is the heart of the research center — remembering birthdays, celebrating accomplishments, and asking about life outside of work. I have a hard time imagining the center without Diane.”
Flores is looking forward to retirement and spending time with her three grandchildren, with another grandchild expected in May 2026.
