Emily Chung is the Managing Director for the Pullias Center for Higher Education at the University of Southern California. Dr. Chung directs the Pullias Center’s administrative operations, oversees communications and helps strategize the development and execution of projects to further the Center’s mission, including the USC College Advising Corps program.
Prior to her role at the Pullias Center, she was Managing Director for the now merged Center for Enrollment Research Policy and Practice (CERPP). She also served as the interim Executive Director of CERPP from July 2022-January 2024 to lead the center during a period of transition. Before her roles at USC, Dr. Chung served as a grant officer in education for an international foundation in New York and worked in development for a community development nonprofit in San Francisco.
Chung earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin, a master’s at Yale University, and completed Ph.D. coursework at the University of Chicago. She completed her doctoral degree at the USC Rossier School of Education, specializing in higher education administration.
