Jimmy Aguilar (he/him/his) is a Ph.D. student in the Urban Education Policy program with a concentration in higher education at the University of Southern California Rossier School of Education. He serves as a research assistant at the Pullias Center for Higher Education and is advised by Dr. Julie Posselt.

Aguilar is a Gates Millenium Scholar and obtained his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in Political Science and Chicanx Studies and completed a minor in education. Following his undergraduate degree, Aguilar earned a master’s degree (Ed.M) in higher education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE). 

His research interests include equity in admissions, technological innovation, organizational behavior and change and organizational communication.
