Ara Arzumanian
College Advising Corps Director

Dr. Arzumanian is the Director of the USC College Advising Corps. For 25 years, he has been a youth worker in the areas of mentoring, college access, after school, juvenile justice and street outreach. Under his leadership, USC CAC has directly supported over 88,000 first-generation students to enroll in college from throughout Los Angeles county. During that time, he earned his doctorate in education from USC Rossier, earned the staff recognition award “for creating a culture of community,” was fellow of the LA Scholars Investment Fund and was awarded USC’s Order of Arete medal for “excellence in leadership and community service.”

Previously, Arzumanian was Vice President of Programs for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles and has launched numerous mentoring programs.
