This occasional paper is one of a series of concept papers commissioned by the WASC Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities, to inform the redesign of its accreditation process. Kezar reviews the most significant changes to faculty roles and responsibilities, starting with the wholesale change in the nature of the faculty, which has significant implications for accrediting agencies.
