Shinji Katsumoto is a graduate researcher at the Center for Research of Undergraduate Education (CRUE) at the University of Iowa.

He was born in Nara, Japan, and earned his master’s degree in international educational development from Teachers College, Columbia University. He is advised by Dr. Nicholas Bowman. His areas of interest include international students’ experiences, impacts of university rankings, and international comparative studies of teaching and learning.
