Alexander Jun

Professor, Azusa Pacific University


Alexander Jun is Professor of Higher Education at Azusa Pacific University. As a faculty  member in the Department of Doctoral Programs in Higher Education, Dr. Jun’s primary  area of research focuses on issues of access and equity in higher education, as well as  globalization in the Pacific Rim universities. Dr. Jun is author of From Here to University:  Access, Mobility, and Resilience Among Urban Latino Youth (Routledge Press, 2001),  and has published extensively on issues of postsecondary equity access for historically  underrepresented students in urban environments. Professor Jun teaches courses in  comparative and international higher education, diversity and social justice, as well as  qualitative research methods. He is currently working on a long-term ethnographic project  on the academic resilience of college bound Khmer orphans in Cambodia.
