“Launching the Alliance for Better College Teaching (ABCT): Initial Strategy and How to be Involved” webinar set for Tuesday, April 21 at 10am PT

March 18, 2026

Join the Leadership Council of the Alliance for Better College Teaching (ABCT) and the Pullias Center as we discuss the launch of our work and how to become involved. The ABCT is a new alliance focused on elevating teaching for student success, funded in part by the Lumina Foundation. In this session, Dr. Adrianna Kezar will moderate a discussion of the ABCT leadership council as we discuss the genesis, structure and initial strategy of the ABCT, and present different ways that different shareholders can be involved.

The first stage of the ABCT work will build partnerships and momentum and communicate evidence about the important role of teaching in student success. This initial work will set the stage for a broader phase of work to address other elements in the teaching ecosystem, including graduate education, scaling professional development, working with disciplinary societies and more. You can learn more at www.bettercollegeteaching.org.
